    我刚刚结束了为期2周的加拿大西部（大不列颠哥伦比亚）之行，在此先给大家送上来自加洲的问候。在这次行程中天气虽不尽如人意，经常是雨雪交加，但当地听众的无比热情弥补了与季节不符的严寒。在结束了演出之后，我很高兴能有机会和广大乐迷朋友进行了一次简短的谈话,同时我也很感激那些不顾恶劣天气而长途跋涉前来聆听我音乐会的吉他迷们。巡演的日程安排公布http://www.lionaboyd.com/index2.htm
    一路上在我的新拉丁乐队成员们以及特邀嘉宾Pavlo的陪伴下，我感到很愉快。我的名为“CAMINO LATINO/LATIN JOURNEY”的专辑终于在加拿大出炉了！我们目前还不知道它将何时在美国发行，可能会拖延到今年秋天，但是你可以通过我们的网站订购，包括由我亲笔签名的专辑。我很抱歉，由于专辑是直接从弗吉尼亚运往目的地的，所以我现在已不能再在专辑上签名了。但是我保证每张专辑上已有的签名都是货真价实的。我认为这是我近年来最出色的一张专辑，乐迷们对它的热烈反响更是让我激动不已。专辑由许多杰出的吉他演奏家客串演出，他们包括AL DI MEOLA, STRUNZ & FARAH, STEVE MORSE, JESSE COOK, PAVLO, JOHANNES LINDSTEAD, LUIS VILLEGAS等，甚至还有一位歌手客串演唱了由我填词的西班牙语歌曲“Morenita”和英语歌曲“Latin Lady”。

March 22nd, 2002  

Greetings from California where I have just returned after two weeks of touring in the Western Canadian province of British Columbia---Brrr!!! It was either raining or snowing but the wonderful warmth of the audiences made up for the unseasonably cold temperatures. It was great to see so many friends and guitar fans that I had a chance to briefly chat with after the shows, and thanks to everyone who attended my concerts. I know that some of you drove long distances in spite of the bad weather. Tour dates are listed at http://www.lionaboyd.com/tourschedule.htm ; 

It was fun to be on the road with my new Latin band and special guest Pavlo who is an outstanding performer. My CD “CAMINO LATINO/LATIN JOURNEY” is finally out in Canada !!! We don’t yet know about its US release date which could be delayed until the fall, but you can always get copies through our site, including autographed ones. Sorry that I can no longer personalize them as they are shipped from Virginia , but I promise it's me who signed them! I think it is my best album in years and I am very excited by the response. The CD features guest appearances by so many amazing guitar players e.g. AL DI MEOLA, STRUNZ & FARAH, STEVE MORSE, JESSE COOK, PAVLO, JOHANNES LINDSTEAD, LUIS VILLEGAS etc and even has a guest vocalist who sings the song I wrote lyrics for in Spanish and English, “Morenita” and “Latin Lady”.  

If you live in Canada and are able to call the adult contemporary stations to request Latin Lady I’d be very grateful as this really makes a big difference in radio play. Apparently it's just starting to get in rotation so the timing is crucial. Thank you!!!  

The young Latin singer is the incredibly talented and handsome Innis who had the #1 song in Mexico last year and I’m sure will be giving Ricky Martin and Enrique some competition very soon once they promote him here. There is one classical solo piece that I wrote on the album called “Mexico Mi Amor” that is already being featured on the classical station in Montreal , so I’m glad I had something for classical music lovers. The rest of the album is in the Nuevo Latino style blending my classical sounds with Latin rhythms. There are influences from Brazil , Peru . Mexico , Greece , Middle East , Cuba , Spain … and it was recorded using 23 different players in Toronto , Miami , New Jersey , Los Angeles . There’s a 10 page color booklet with all the lyrics, credits etc and a handwritten poem I wrote to the guitar.  

In a weeks time the tour resumes and will not be over until May 5 so please don’t expect replies from me at this very busy time. Thanks for understanding.
