关于STEVE LUKATHER　
　　每个年代都有一些技巧超强的录音室吉他手, 这几个人通常包办了多数那个年代大牌艺人专辑的吉他. 70 年代有 Larry Carlton 和 Louie Shelton, 90 年代有 Michael Landau, Tim Pierce 和 Brent Mason (真的喔, 去找找当红流行乐专辑里的吉他手名字), 而 80 年代, 则是 Steve Lukather 的天下. 找他在专辑中操刀的艺人包括 吉他之神 Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac 的 Stevie Nicks, 灵魂乐歌后 Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson 的重要里程碑 Thriller 专辑, Eagles 的 Don Henley, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, 民谣老人 Joni Mitchell, 爵士大团 Manhattan Transfer, 老披头 Paul McCartney, 今年刚过世的吉他传奇 Chet Atkins, Lionel Richie 等等太多太多人了. 除此之外, 他还和多位同样是录音室的顶尖乐手们组了个超级乐团 Toto. 专辑 Toto IV 那年抱走了一堆 Grammy 哩. 名曲 Africa 和 Rosanna 你一定听过. 啊? 不知道? 听了你就知道了.....

　　另外我们要提一下就是他现在的吉他是MUSICMAN的LUKE型号，也是MUSICMAN为他定做的签名系列，用了EMG 的 85 humbucking - bridge position和 2 EMG SLV custom single coil。
