Along with Arcangel Fernandez, Reyes is perhaps the best-known flamenco guitarmaker in the world today. Reyes' prized guitars epitomize the pure flamenco sound, having an aggressive, loud, almost brittle sound. This guitar, fitted with peg tuners, certainly lives up to that reputation. Most Reyes guitars were used by working flamenco players and have seen extensive, hard use. It is becoming much more difficult to find one like this fine example, which is in excellent, original condition. Due to this guitar's excellent condition and sound, this instrument would be right at home, either in the hands of a working player, or in a fine collection.
